Dear all, We hope this finds you well. I'm aware this is a long overdue update... it has been a busy season for us here in Turi but please accept my apologies for the delay. We were delighted to welcome back students and staff from Elizabeth College in February half term. The students visited the TCP children's homes, played with them at the project, cooked with them and celebrated TCP turning 11. I really hope that the students have returned to Guernsey challenged and inspired to possibly return to Kenya one day. They have a huge impact on the children here and I hope that their experience here has likewise impacted them. We received some lovely quotes from the students:

On top of all the work they did with the children, the Elizabeth College students worked diligently on the new building, which is now nearing completion. The plumbing, plastering and electricity still need sorting, but we hope that the building will be completed and ready for rental in June / July this year. We are grateful to all who have helped this come together. The new house will be a blessing to the community, enabling us to gather rent each month that will help cover some of our costs here.
Since their visit, TCP has continued as normal. We are hoping to introduce a couple of changes in the coming months, to make TCP as effective as possible. I will speak more into those changes in due course. There have been a number of changes to the children's school day and their education changing from the 8-4-4 system to the new CBC - Competency-Based Curriculum means that we need to ensure that TCP is supporting the children in the best way possible.
One of our volunteers here has been quite unwell so do, if you pray, lift Eunice in your prayers as we hope that she will be able to return to work in due course.
