Teddies come to TCP!

When some visitors came from the UK in May, they also brought with them 120 cuddly friends!

In May, family came to visit one of our TCP team, Steph. During their visit to Kenya from the UK, Pauline and Anthony came to meet the children and team and TCP. Pauline is part of the Mothers' Union in the UK, and in the months leading up to their visit she and her friends at the Mothers' Union had been busily knitting away, making all these teddies for TCP!

Pauline and Anthony were able to give out 120 homemade teddies to the children, which meant everybody could have one. Many of the children at TCP do not have many toys of their own, so it was wonderful that we could give them each a teddy for themselves.

It was a lovely day, and we made a party of it! Once they had given out the teddies our visitors were treated to a display of some dancing and singing from the children (and even joined in the dancing themselves!). After some time to play with the teddies, the children shared dinner together.

We are so grateful for these gifts that we receive from overseas. If you would like to send something to TCP, or find out what we need at the moment, head over to our Support page to send us a message. To see more photos of the lovely teddies have a look at our Gallery.
